Performance

Performing is an invaluable part of a dancer’s training. The stage transforms a dancer into an artist. Students’ dedication to ballet technique in the classroom is combined with their imagination, resulting in a beautiful, exciting, and rewarding experience. Performing builds confidence and character. It also teaches commitment, teamwork, and musicality. SFYBA offers multiple opportunities each year to perform onstage and often otherwise. The school year concludes in May with a student performance where all students are encouraged to participate. Students can also audition for “The Nutcracker” each holiday season. Over the years, SFYBA has also provided its students with performing opportunities in television and video.
